New Suicide Squad delivers chaos and more explosive action than even Harley Quinn can handle. With a looming threat the team are now on the lives for their lives yet again though they have no idea what or whom is about to come after them next. Read Full Review

Much like last issue, New Suicide Squad #6 reads like a book taken out of the oven before it's fully cooked. Read Full Review

The Batman Universe - TBU Contributor Jan 16, 2015

This week was a mixed bag. The New Suicide Squad is a book rich with untapped potential. Being in its infancy, it would behoove DC to reevaluate the current writing and art team assigned to the book. At a minimum they should offer some strong insight into the direction in which the series should go. I would hate to see this comic become another victim to the paper laden DC chopping block. I can't support this book. I promise, I'm not in a bad mood, I'm just frustrated. I was a fan at the beginning of the re-launch, and was excited about where this book could go" but that excitement diminished quickly after two or three issues. At the beginning of the issue, it cites "DC Comics proudly presents New Suicide Squad." If I were DC, I wouldn't be proud of this (look below" Harley and Reverse Flash agree). I would want to scrap the current story, and bring in a really strong team to take over this book since it's about to get maximum exposure due to the film. I would be terrified if I knew that tons of people might check out this book based on the building hype of this brand. Read Full Review

I've tried sticking up for the Suicide Squad for a while, but I can't anymore. Between both the art and writing this story arc is a train wreck. Unless I happen to have an unusually large amount of spending money next month, it's going to be hard to pick up the next issue. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Jim Werner Jan 15, 2015

I have tried to defend this rebooted Suicide Squad, but this month I can't.  It's a filler issue that isn't fun and fun is the one thing this book had.  Sean Ryan doesn't give us much as far as story and the four artists combine to give us a steaming pile.  Yes, this book has words and pictures, but not much more. I hate punching down on a comic, but not only should this serve as a warning for readers, but a plea for this creative team to right the ship before it's too late. Read Full Review
