RED LANTERNS continues to shine brighter than ever. Charles Soule is doing a great job taking these odd characters and making them fun to read. He's taken a book and characters I cared very little for and turned it all around. With this issue packaged with GREEN LANTERNS #28, you get two comics for the price of one. It's a great deal and you essentially get a double-sized complete story that will have a big impact on the GL, RL and SUPERGIRL titles. Read Full Review
If you've never tried this book before, here's the perfect opportunity. Two for one. This is the best of the Red Lanterns. Read Full Review
Red Lanterns is another terrific issue, especially in this Green Lantern/Red Lantern flip book. The stories worked so well together, and Vitti's transition from Tan's art was seamless. This issue finally begins the healing process between Guy and Hal, and I hope they have some more "guy" talk in the future, because I just love when these two characters interact. Can't wait for the next issue, which will seem like forever since I've had two issues in two weeks now. I hate waiting, but if you haven't read this issue, then you don't have to wait to get some Red Lantern goodness. Check it out. Read Full Review
Charles Soule has established a great voice for Guy Gardner and his team. He handles a very large cast with aplomb in this one before eventually getting down to the Supergirl portion of the story. Read Full Review
Red Lanterns #28 continues a good run of form for Charles Soule and Alessandro Vitti - it's no wonder than many fans now consider this title their favorite in the Green Lantern family of books. Four out of five lanterns. Read Full Review
This issue of Red Lanterns was a solid piece of work and while it does give the reader some amount of information onto what's been going it, Soule doesn't spoon feed any new readers which works for a stronger narrative. Vitti continues to be the perfect artist for this book with his harsh lines and cartoony facial expressions. However the conclusion of the issue feels lackluster and doesn't really encourage people to want to stick with book unless they care about Red Lantern Supergirl. That's a small nitpick though from an otherwise solid issue Read Full Review
Love the "flipbook" idea! Two for the price of one. I wish they did it more. I understand in the short term they lose money, but the idea is to get Green Lantern book readers to read Red Lanterns by giving them a free issue of it. And a good Red Lanterns issue it was! I loved the Hal/Guy interaction and having Kara Supergirl was great too. The artwork was good too. I think this was Vitti's best issue so far.
