Nice adventure with a pair of lanterns trying to recover captured rings. That last page, however, was infuriating. Read Full Review
I really love Red Lanterns and adding Simon Baz to this title for GODHEAD was such a stroke of genius that I'll be severely disappointed when it ends. While we're not given ground shaking story altering epicness here, what we were given was two Lanterns doing their best to get out of a bad situation and trying to turn the tides of war while showing some humanity towards each other and you know what? That's enough for me. It's a fun issue with two characters that I've come to love as a duo and J. Calafiore's art is just the cherry on top. Go check it out and continue your GODHEAD adventure. Red Lanterns #37 heralds an end to Charles Soule's tenure in the Lanternverse for DC Comics and it's a shame to see him leave. Really good issue. I will miss Soule. It was nice to see Simon fight alongside Guy.
Charles Soule is back in top form, Godhead ruined his perfect score on Red Lanterns, but Soule overcame and gave us a great issue to leave on. Guy Gardner and Simon Baz make an awesome team and Guy's character development becomes the heart of this issue because, at least plot wise, Red Lanterns has only been relevant to the Godhead event due to one single detail.
This issue was ok, but not as good as I'd hoped being Soule's final issue. Guy & Simon try to escape New Genesis - that's about it.
