Robin, Maya and Goliath must team up with an old foe to recover a relic from Damians past and keep the forces of evil at bay!
Before I wrap up, I just want to acknowledge that many likely read titles such asBatmanandDetective Comicsexclusively to keep apprised of the latest Dark Knight happenings. Based on what I had to say in the paragraph above, I do urge folks who loved the Morrison material, as well as Tomasi and Gleason'sBatman and Robin, to give this a look. Read Full Review
My overall thoughts on this comic were that while it was okay, I was kind of expecting a little more. With DC's soft reboot of the franchise only a month away, I guesstimate that there will probably be about 1 or 2 more issues left in the ROBIN SON OF BATMAN series. Tell us your thoughts on these writers and artists. Read Full Review
High on action but super light on anything else. This issue does feature Batman, Talia, and Damian, but their reunion is nowhere near as impactful as I wish it would have been. While there's no chance this comic is winning an Eisner Award, if you're just in the mood for some mindless action, this comic will do the trick. Read Full Review
If Robin: Son of Batman was a book just of Damian being a little snot and kicking people in the face, it would be the comic of the year, but the dizzying continuity Fawkes is trying to build here really hampers the fun book that it truly could be. Read Full Review
Damian seems to be a parody of himself in this issue and the cartoon-y artwork doesn't do anything to help that. Yeah, there's action through and through in this book, but it's hard to be happy with this when it missed the opportunity to put away the "BLAM" and "POWS" to actually be the biggest book to pour on the feels of 2016. I haven't been a fan of this Year of Blood story since almost the beginning, but this missed opportunity really makes me dislike it all the more. Read Full Review
Butt kicked ? Bat kicked !
while the dialog at the beginning of the issue felt a bit forced and stiff, it thankfully picked up as the issue went along. i’m glad this book FINALLY has reunited Batman and Robin after the whole entire ‘Endgame’ fiasco. but we’ve only got just one issue left of this title before it gets cancelled.
this comic was satisfying enough to have me excited for the next and final issue. but with the coming solicits of DC Rebirth i can’t say i’m overly excited by what i’m seeing.
i’ll finish this series and the last few other titles i’m reading before they get canceled. i just can’t guarantee i’ll be sticking with DC after ‘Rebirth’.
