The action, artwork, callbacks, and characterization in this installment all stand out in the series' best issue yet. Read Full Review
The Fatal Five continues to grow, while Supergirl and her friends are trapped in the Phantom Zone. A fun read, with the story showing how one can be a hero without super powers. Read Full Review
With no plan Supergirl tells Batgirl sometimes you have to work on the fly. And, takes a leap at the dragon leaving Batgirl and Ben in shock. This issue was crazy guys. Lots of bad guy insanity, action, and reveals. It was also nice to see our heroines work together and make use of their different fighting styles. I trust Kara when she jumps into things, hopefully Batgirl does too. Read Full Review
The bottom line is that this was a very entertaining issue, moving at a brisk pace but including some great character moments as well. And the fact that this book included Selena, Psi, and an Aethyr dragon makes this old reader grin. Read Full Review
A fun issue with talk of the mechanics of the Phantom Zone, along with ample use of the abilities of all involved. Read Full Review
Supergirl #10 makes for a great second act, building to something that could be catastrophic without neglecting to tell a character-driven story. Read Full Review
Books are just killer this week! Orlando is telling a very solid story, all the while having strong characterizations. There were some powerful moments in this issue, that made this book incredible. I just don't know what more you could want in a comic; there's action, heroism, dragons, and an escape attempt. Supergirl should be on your pull list...go ahead and do it now...i'll wait. I am still not a fan of the art in this series, but Orlando's writing and his knowledge of Supergirl's history in comics and film has got me hooked. Read Full Review
Very fun issue to read, and the introduction to a pretty interesting villain in Xa-Du. Batgirl and Supergirl are great together in this issue, and Ican't wait to see how the Maiden of Might gets out of this one! Read Full Review
Overall, Supergirl has not been a very enjoyable comic for many of us lately, and yet, just as this issue ends on a higher note that we should not believe to pay off, we press on. We hope. It's what Kara would want us to do. And the cover art is fire. Read Full Review
There's too much explaining here: as if Orlando doesn't trust Ching to convey anything in his panels. Sadly, that wouldn't be an unwarranted concern with the way some of the action fails to track throughout this book. The story is already a hard sell with a fanatical villain boiling people in pots to attain power through imbued sartorial choices, and the sudden appearance of a rampaging dragon. For those of you who followed Batgirl here from her own pages, all I can say is we're a long way from Burnside"and I never imagined I'd be in such a hurry to get back. Read Full Review
Please don't let the fact that we all want a Supergirl book make you try to convince yourself this book is good. It isn't. This issue is full of awful dialogue, poor storytelling, bad art and nonsense. I don't recommend it to anyone and hope it gets a creative team change soon. Read Full Review
