Mr. Van Scivers pencils are strong and explode with action. In a lot of ways, his style is somewhat reminiscent of the great Neal Adams in that theyre expressive and portray the storytelling the way a penciller should. Read Full Review
Superman/Batman #28 was a great issue. This was the perfect rebound from an absolutely horrendous debut issue. Verheiden delivers an entertaining story and he immediately got me interested in this storyline. This was a nice combination of a good story with fantastic art. Every time a title on the Revolution's permanent pull list has a wholesale change with the creative team then I automatically put the title on probation as see if it is going to earn the right to stay on the permanent pull list. Well, after this issue, Superman/Batman definitely earns the right to stay on the Revolution's permanent pull list. I'd recommend this comic book to anyone. Give it a try. Read Full Review
Without a rock solid continuity how can the reader pin down any suspects? Without a strong continuity, how can the reader become involved when he does not know the stakes? What's the creature's motive? What's the history? Why does the creature mimic the "mass, strength and kryptonite eye-blasts" of a dead Superman foe? None of this, as the dialogue states, makes sense, and there's not enough meat to make me care. I'll be skipping next issue. The mention of Hal Jordan's presence makes me want to care even less.
