superman being goofy is such a breath of fresh air, it makes for an incredibly likable character. clark as a freelance reporter is a really good idea, everything seems so grounded in a character perspective. this war between kobe and the government of ghana is quite interesting. art looks pretty good too. all in all great start 8 - great

Liked how hopeful Waid wrote Lara, and I'm also impressed by Waid starting the book in such a bold way, introducing a young Clark in a African country for a story. Great way for creating conflict in a interesting way
