I don't know what Justin Jordan is doing nowadays or if he's even writing comics anymore. With the exception of a few legends, he has become one of my favorite comic writers working today. I'm not being hyperbolic.
In this issue of Brimstone, we see our protagonist go up against a legit DC powerhouse in Dr. Fate. Much like in DC's Damage comice Brimstone does a lot better than expected and in doing so got an audible reaction out of me.
This is another comic that works perfectly as a single issue. The art from _ is gorgeous and this may be the best rendition of Brimstone we've seen to date. The colors from _ also deserve special props. The flames look glorious. more
I feel like I skipped an issue somehow. This was a one minute read. Totally a waste. You get a cool fight where Doctor Fate's mask gets melted. I hope the last 3 issues can wrap up this lack of plot...
