"Mission Creep" part six! After past and present events collide in a crisis for Captain Atom and General Eiling, longtime adversaries are forced to team up. But even though they seem to be on the same side for once, their motives could not be further apart.

This limited series goes out on a high note and I want more. This hero is new, yet retains his past. As entertaining as his action scenes were, his personal life was so engaging I need to know what happens next in that arena. This Captain Atom needs to return as a monthly! Read Full Review
I really hope this series does well enough to warrant an ongoing book. The political climate seems so well suited to a comic book about fake news, lies, backstabbing, and questionable military actions. Read Full Review
This is everything a comic should be. If you haven't been reading Captain Atom, go to your nearest local comic book store, and pick up these six issues. I loved it so much, I pray that some of the other writers from other titles read this book, and go back to their own books and try harder. I hope this isn't that last we see of Bates and Weisman on a book together! Read Full Review
A satisfying conclusion to an awesome story of love, loss and sacrifice. The creative team has crafted a great standalone story that can have some really interesting implications to the DC universe going forward. Hope to see more from Captain Atom in the future. Read Full Review
The Fall And Rise Of Captain Atom #6 does succeed in wrapping up the current storyline, and opens up some new paths for the future of Captain Atom. Unfortunately, though, it's a disappointing conclusion to a promising series. Read Full Review
As a single issue, readers will be lost. But as a full mini-series, The Fall and Rise of Captain Atom has a lot going for it. It's definitely worth taking a look at, especially if you are a DC fan. Read Full Review
With everything wrapped up neat and tidy, the Fall and Rise of Captain Atom gets the job done in bringing the character to a place where he can operate solo going forward but has the room to easily shake off the past and rejoin the big leagues where he usually is. I do think the series could have been one or two issues shorter with some tightening of the plot instead of being drawn out to six but there are a lot of fun things here that I wish were explored more in it. Genji is essentially kicked down the road a bit even as I wanted to have more of that here but I did like the Justice League tease. Hopefully, we'll see more of Captain Atom sooner rather than later even if the character never seems to be able to cement a top tier position. Read Full Review
Bates and company built a pretty interesting series around a character that has always been a bit bland. I guess there's little helping the fact that even his best stories tend toward the more mundane. Read Full Review
While the art in this finale issue continues to be on point, the story just seems to stall out so that this can simply be a paint by numbers superhero vs super villain beat 'em up tale and that's disappointing for all the fresh things we were getting at the beginning of this mini. Hopefully this was only a first taste of Captain Atom stories to come because this by itself turned out to be pretty underwhelming. Read Full Review
This issue feels unusual to me, in that is has old-school plotting, leaving many hooks for more Captain Atom tales in the future, something that many modern books have given up in favor of clean six-issue trade-ready arcs. The Fall And Rise Of Captain Atom #6 is a solid final act, with strong art and story marred by an unpleasant coloring job. Read Full Review
This could've been the de facto Rebirth One-shot issue for Captain Atom but hopefully we get the real thing down the road. It's definitely taking part in the Rebirth timeline/world given the costumes of the Justice League on the last page. I would love to see an epic showdown between Captain Atom and Dr. Manhattan. Here's to hoping...
Enjoyable mini series overall. Good story and art. Worth the read.
