    Shadowhawk's Shade - Abhinav Jain Oct 13, 2014

Phil Hester is the artist here with Eric Gapstur on inks, Kelsey Shannon on colours and Deron Bennett on the letters. The issue is crammed full of some great typical artwork from Phil, with his trademarked sharply-defined characters. Plus he draws a really great Barry, whether in suit or out of it. The character's look has been one of the biggest draws of the show for me, and it is nice to see that reflected so well in this issue and in such a way as well. I certainly loved it all, especially he nice contrasts and compliments of the colours with the artwork. Read Full Review

The issue also illustrates that Barry's deepest fears and nightmares don't involve the legion of evil meta-humans waiting for him, or even the mysterious man in the yellow suit who stole his life, but the two most important people in his life he feels he has failed: his parents. While I'm starting to enjoy the story thanks to the villains, I'm really not enjoying the main characters at all.  It's hard to recommend a Flash book when you don't like Barry Allen and I like the side characters less.  Also, there is still a huge disconnect between what's in this book and what I see on my television screen and unfortunately, that seems to go against what this book is about.  Hopefully, things will improve, but until you can leave this series alone. Unfortunately, Flash Season 0 #3 captures very little of the magic of the show. Instead, we get what amounts to a filler episode as the plot continues to stall before any conflict. It's a shame how slow the pace has been, especially with such stellar showings by the tv show so far. Bad art, boring story... Well, at least it was better than #2. Had it not been connected to the TV series, I would have dropped this already.
