Black Nerd Problems - Omar Holmon

I love this book, and this issue really gets things underway as the danger increases for our young vigilantes. You know the band is going to get back together, but the dynamic is going to be something that's going to take time to adjust to for them. Read this book. We Are Robin is such a fresh breeze into the Bat Family. Read Full Review

We are Robin #9 doesn't have a whole lot of action, but it definitely makes up for it with plenty of depth, heart, and intelligence. I'm not sure where the last 3 issues are planning on taking us, but I'm hoping for a strong thematic ending over an action blowout extravaganza. Read Full Review

We Are Robin #9 gets deep, personal, and borderline insane. Gotham is a mixed bag of possibilities, and the right focus was given to the lives people can live that doesn't always have to be as tragic as everyone makes it seem. Read Full Review

But I like where this story could be going, where I think it's going. A lot of the Robins are out of commission right now. Duke is still mostly worried about his parents. Dax is working on equipment. Dre is fighting crime under a different mask, etc. So I like the idea that this Jokers gang might get big enough that the Robins have to come back together to stop them. But hopefully we can get there soon, because the Jokers on their own aren't enough to carry a comic. We need the powder keg to blow soon. Read Full Review

Although let down after reading this issue, I still am hopeful for Bermejo to come back next month with a stronger showing and move this story along at a faster pace. Read Full Review

While things are not going very well in Duke's life, or Izzy's or Riko's, things look promising for Smiley after he finally got some people to be part of his movement, the first battle between the robins and the jokers takes place in an alley when Dre saves a family when they were getting out of the movies (sound familiar?) and we get more of the robins and their daily life
