And it's not something that's really been acknowledged all that much in previous renderings of the origin. It's satisfying to finally see someone rendering it in a way that delivers some of its potential. Stephanie Williams may be working on a structure that has been laid out pretty extensively over the course of the past 81 years, but she’s found a beautiful way to bring it to the page. Stephanie Williams continues to deliver an actual in depth and respectful telling of Diana's past and building up Trinity as the proper heir to WW. I have enjoyed William's style and imo she improves each issue and is really absorbing what Wonder Woman is and can be.
Unlike Tom King who reduced Diana to a one-worded suicidal clobberhead, Williams revitalizes the Wonder Woman I love and know by emphasizing her compassion, love, intelligence and tenacity.
Trinity and Trevor though it is a small amount of this issue continue to have great dialogue and I wish Trinity was given this more mature take than the childish slop Tom King shoveled down our throats when he made her chase multi-versal Corgis.... Williams shows a true T more+ Like • Comment -
