    AIPT - David Brooke Aug 7, 2013

Your enjoyment of this issue hinges on how much monster battling you need. If you want more character development and plot advancement you might want to skip this, but for what it's worth there is both of those things in this issue. There's just more monster battling overall. I never thought I'd love a Godzilla comic, but so far I've enjoyed every page Mowry and Frank have cooked up. Read Full Review

Unleash The Fanboy - Daniel Alvarez Aug 5, 2013

Overall, Rulers of Earth #2 is the definitely the most fun comic you'll read this week. The battle between Godzilla and Zilla is amazingly done. Since it's pretty much one-sided, you're going to wonder how it was pulled off, but it's handled very well. Characters are a bit weak, but nothing bad. It's a fun story that can be enjoyed by all ages, Godzilla fans, and newcomers. Read Full Review

Fortress of Solitude - Byron Hendricks Aug 7, 2013

This issue is a great for a newcomer, even though it is issue 2 of the new series. The epic battle is enough to serve as a great introduction to this new run in the Godzilla series. Although the story in this issue may seem a bit bland, thanks to humanity, the mention of giant robots used for battling monsters makes this title seem promising. Read Full Review

We do get a few interesting bits, such as making reference to the prior series and hinting at the reason for the recent attacks, but overall, this one isn't clicking for me. Read Full Review

Weekly Comic Book Review - Noah Sharma Aug 13, 2013

Godzilla can work as a work of campy humor or a serious consideration of horror and destruction, but this series needs to define itself a little better. It's not entirely clear who the target audience is for this comic and we're going to need some relationships established, human or kaiju, if this isn't just going to be a showcase for cool kaiju art. Still the potential is there. Read Full Review

    Bloody Disgusting - Jimbus_Christ Aug 8, 2013

Rulers of Earth continues to falter with little to no direction. The book hopes that you accept the gigantic monsters on the pages as the characters to root for. Yet, Mowry never provides any depth to their plight. Instead superficial flat human characters are meant to be rooted for, but usually just seem vapid and directionless. Read Full Review

The action stuff is great, the human stuff not so much. But really, who is buying a Godzilla comic for the human drama?

Only action complaint is SPOILER wish Zilla had been obliterated.
