The science-fiction/horror tale from Ryall and Rodriguez continues, as Onyx and her new team of adversaries/allies face down the unbeatable menace infecting our planet!
Onyx #2 provides a cohesive and enthralling story that presents a wide range of characters that all have a unique appeal. Even the mysterious leader that pops up throughout feels different to other evil antagonists and its a refreshing thing to see. In the end, Onyx is still far from perfect but this issue is a real improvement on the first. The story feels like its forging its own identity, and the artwork continues to impress. Onyx still isn't a must-buy, but it is one to watch; if it successfully manages to right itself in the next two issues, it could well be worth a purchase in trade paperback. Read Full Review
