"The Fate of Dr. Eggman," Part 2. Dr. Eggman has been located, but Sonic's not the only one to find him! When Shadow comes, whose side will Sonic be on?!?
This issue like others previously were very nostalgic and fun to read with the star power of fan Favorite Shadow and Rogue, seeing now that Dr. Eggman is in fact a separate individual to Mr. Tinker, I can't help but question if they may be working together. Ian Flynn is keeping the interest levels very high on this book for all ages. And Tracey Yardley never disappoints with such great visuals in racing and combat panels with Sonic and Shadow in this issue. Read Full Review

There's a refreshing simplicity to the new Sonic series. Even as it plays with superhero tropes, including rehashing history in the midst of a fight, the action maintains momentum and never loses track of the moment. Read Full Review

A thoroughly enjoyable, if basic, Sonic comic. You know, for kids! Read Full Review
A by the numbers affair that until the final page does little to move the story forwards. The final twist, however, could mean big things for the future of this book. Read Full Review
This book was without a doubt a surprise. The cliffhanger at the end did its job, and I know I'll be back next month. Hell, I'll even go a step further and read the previous issues. These are characters I love and grew up with. Even at the ripe age of 30, this is a franchise I adore and try to instill in my son. Granted, that's a lost cause, but it doesn't stop me from giving all the love. Read Full Review
I really loved the dynamic between Sonic and Shadow and this amnesiac Eggman. Though Sonic was slow to believe that Eggman had changed he very quickly defended him against Shadow. Such great representation for how much of a positive and uplifting guy Sonic is.
Definitely enjoyed the character interactions and had the best cliffhanger of the series. Still, knowing what's coming up in future issues and seeing the characters that are returning next issue, I'm more relieved that we're moving on to the meaty stuff that I came for then thinking about what's going on in these past 2 issues. Overall, perfectly fine mini-arc, but nothing memorable in the long run.
