The Super Powered Fancast - Deron Generally Jan 30, 2019

The art by David Messina is great. The character renderings are well done, but Messina does a great job of capturing the look and feel of Star Trek in the background details and designs. I can't wait to see how the art evolves once the story really gets going. Read Full Review

    Graphic Policy - Brett Jan 30, 2019

The issue's story is good but the art falls a bit short in making it truly exciting. There's a lot of potential here and the start of a story that could be rather exciting and be a story that fits right into the Star Trek cannon. The story is entertaining and definitely worth it for Star Trek fans. For the rest, it's a crapshoot. Read Full Review

Monkeys Fighting Robots - Darryll Robson Jan 29, 2019

A fan pleasing Star Trek story that encapsulates everything that makes a perfect Star Trek story. The cast are wonderfully rendered although the lack of emotion in the art adds a woodenness to some of the characterisation. Read Full Review

    ComicBook.com - Jamie Lovett Jan 30, 2019

Scott and David Tipton, veterans of IDW Publishing's Star Trek comics line, know these characters well and draw out their voices effortlessly. Nonetheless, this issue is all set up, an overture before the story really kicks off. Readers will have to wait until next issue for the follow-through. Read Full Review
