The galaxy-spanning crossover epic continues in this sequel to the blockbuster STAR TREK/GREEN LANTERN: THE SPECTRUM WAR! Just having these characters back together again is enough to get me excited and Mike Johnson and Angel Hernandez don't disappoint. I am already invested in the story and can't imagine how pumped up I'll be when we get the other Lanterns involved. If you are a fan of either franchise, check this book out immediately! There's three different colours of Lanterns in Star Trek/Green Lantern #1, Violet (Star Sapphire), the Green Lantern Corps and finally a singular Yellow Lantern; Sinestro. He seems to have formed an alliance with classic Trek villains, the Klingons. It's another moment where the combination of characters just seems to fit perfectly together. Usually, team up/crossover events like this tend not to be very well written. But this is most definitely a brilliant way of bringing two popular science fiction franchises together to craft a genuinely intriguing storyline. Keep your eye on this one. Read Full Review
A good beginning, but nothing exceptional. If you enjoyed The Spectrum War, you'll enjoy this. If you're a fan of Trek or the lanterns, you'll enjoy this. If you're not a fan, this will be an average comic. Read Full Review

This first issue is a perfect continuation of the Star Trek/Green Lantern universe, and sets up a great quest storyline. I for one will definitely be hanging about to see where this story ends up. Read Full Review
Star Trek / Green Lantern: Stranger Worlds #1 does a really nice job of setting the stage for the story to come and writer Mike Johnson has created a plot which organically continues the pairing of two great science fiction franchises. The lanterns have boldly gone where no one has gone before and this issue has me really looking forward to what comes next. Eight out of ten lanterns. Read Full Review
It is exciting to see just how Sinestro is wielding his new power, applied to Klingon culture. A new plot twist comes in how the rings function, or fail to function. The Lanterns are so far away from their power sources. It creates big questions. The Federation's integrations of Lantern technology could raise ethical dilemmas later. There is massive world building occurring that read like many more volumes are possible in the future. If the rest of this second volume delivers on the fun of this issue, more will be welcome. Though a tripped up by a wordy opening Star Trek/Green Lantern: Stranger Worlds #1 is still worth your attention just for the team-up alone. Read Full Review
Thought this started out really well, providing background on what happened in the Spectrum War for those who haven't read it yet. By not having to focus on introduction is allows for more character development which was nice, especially the scenes with Kirk and Hal Jordan. Seeing how the GL's have started to integrate with 23rd century life was fun and then along comes the twist. Seeing how the discovery that's made here drives the series looks like it's going to be a lot of fun!
A very efficient introduction to the characters and setup. One downside is that this feels short. It somehow feels appropriate that Guy Gardner is wasting the last bits of his ring's energy showboating., but surely Sinestro wouldn't be foolish enough to squander away his energy already as well.
