Honestly, it seems like every month I come out and sing the praises of this series, not just for its impressive storytelling and artwork, but for the sheer consistency that has seen it maintain such a blistering pace for almost six years now. If you're not already on this bandwagon then you really need to remedy that, and if you've ever shown any kind of affinity or affection for the ‘heroes in a half-shell', then this is most definitely the series for you. This was a great story arc from start to finish for IDW's TMNT series. It introduced some new enemies and brought the turtles in a new direction. This was their first real test without Master Splinter leading them and it really brought the team together and showed how they would have to adapt to Leonardo actually being "the master". TMNT continues to be a fantastic ongoing series building this world from the first issue, micro-series, mini-series and TMNT Universe series all combining to make the world unlike any other. Also depending on your own preferences, there might be some pretty cheesy dialogue in the through this issue. It didn't overly bother me but it did stand out. Then again, the TMNT are teenagers, so maybe they should be given a pass? So much is done well this month that I on reflection I think I can let it slide. Read Full Review

Tom Waltz and Mateus Sanolouco have delivered their fair share of excellent finales throughout their Turtles run, and while issue #70 won't go down as one of their best, it's a serviceable capper to an overall fantastic arc. Read Full Review
