TMNT #94 "City at War Part 2" is certainly heating up this storyline. Lots of things are happening and honestly, I have no clue what will become of the Turtles after "City at War" wraps up. The mystery of what will happen next is excellent. I am also loving the backup essays as well. Instead of a letters page they are doing an oral history of the past eight years of TMNT at IDW. in TMNT #94 the creators detailed the second year and it is fantastic to read what-all they had to say. I flirted with reviewing TMNT #94-95 together since I was late (As Usual) but decided to review the issues separately since there was so much going on in this issue.  The cliffhanger for #93 was pretty severe with Jannika being stabbed by Karai in a double cross and bleeding out.   This issue covers the aftermath and the escalation of the city at war story arc.  The adage is that Pressure Bursts Pipes and the turtles are getting pressure from all sies as they deal with multiple wars progressing on multiple fronts.  In the midst of all of this turmoil, Raph decides that he's tired of being reactive to all of the events happening around him and decides to join up with Old Hob and the Mutanimals who are technically the most well-arm more

Splinter is a beast. His character seems inconsistent tho since he seemed to regret these types of actions then plunges right back into it. The only thing holding this series back right now it's it's cast is too large

this was an ok'ish issue. some cool stuff finally started to happen. great action. the extendedly drawn out plot threads are really taking their toll. too many characters introduced, some long forgotten. all fighting for screen-time. still felt like more setting things up for what's to come, than significantly moving the plot. even though it felt like a sharp turn, at least Raph is actually acting like himself, as well as finally paling around with Casey. it's been too long since IDW really built upon their friendship.
