This is a great start for a new series in the TMNT franchise and I'm glad I got to read it. It's not too "think, but it's also smart enough to not make me feel like I'm reading the New Teen Titans version of the TMNT. I am admittedly a complete newbie when it comes to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles so each of the four stories in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Black White & Green #1 felt like solid ways to get in on the stories of the characters in a way that was approachable for someone with lots of familiarity and someone like me who has none. I picked this up solely because I really loved the new ongoing series but sadly wished I hadn't bothered. The art in places looked messy and rushed and no offence but what age group was the writing of the unconnected stories aimed at? The first was in truth not that bad but the 2nd and 3rd were nothing but filler. I won't comment on the last story apart from.......seriously!!!!!!
