Flickering Myth - Chris Cooper Dec 2, 2016

One arc down and TMNT Universe has proven it's a fantastic addition to the IDW library, and a brilliant sister title to TMNT. Art, pacing, dialogue, a rubbish Eastman story, emotion and interesting things to come. It has it all! Read Full Review

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Universe #4 Conclusion:Overall the main story was very good, we got some new characters added to the TMNT mythos and some great character work. Allor gave the reader a great start to the TMNT Universeseries and set it up to be a fun addition to the ongoing a series. The back up story still boggles me and has started to drag the book down with the $4.99 price tag for those extra pages. With the start of issue #5 it seems we are going to get a new short story arc and a new writing/art team as Old Hob tries to recruit Leatherhead to the Mutanimals! Read Full Review

So with the first arc coming to an end I have high hopes for this series but I hope it delivers on it's promise to focus more on the fringe characters of the TMNT universe, villains, heroes and everyone else. It has a real chance to become something incredibly interesting and act as a conduit for fleshing out characters that some might not know much about in the main series. It worked well for Batman in the 90s and I'm on board for more IDW Turtles comics because they nearly always nail it. Fun times ahead. Read Full Review

    IGN - Jesse Schedeen Dec 1, 2016

Kevin Eastman and Bill Sienkiewicz make for an incredible team, capturing all the glory of the classic TMNT comics while offering a striking, surreal flair on top of it. As usual, it's just a shame the backup chapters are so short. Read Full Review

Let's hope that next time Allor gets a turn writing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Universe (which will hopefully be soon), he accelerates rather than slides to the end. Read Full Review

I don't get what this agency that Bishops heads is supposed to be, is it government sanctioned or what? It isn't believable that they haven't attracted attention from the rest of the city at this point or that they would just retreat when Null shows up; that's not what any police agency would do, it doesn't feel authentic. Who are these guys? I do like that April cuts this deal behind Stockman's back and the low key ending to this arc is executed beautifully. And is that who I think it is at sleeping in the other room at the end? When did that happen?

(Zodi)- “Madame Null, these are the karate turtles. Michael, Donald, Leopold, and - “
    (Madame Null)- “i don’t care.”

AWESOME conclusion to the Tmnt Universe opening arc.
i'm definitely looking forward to re-reading this story over and over. and i think it's safe to say i'm 100% behind this new supplementary series to the IDW Tmnt ongoing. if you are a fan of the IDW Tmnt ongoing series, or just a fan of Ninja Turtles, then you NEED to do yourself a HUGE favor and check this series out!!!!

(minor SPOILER for followers of the 'Turtles in Time' mini-series)
(SPOILER)Pepperoni is alive and well in the IDW Universe!!!(SPOILER)
