Some might be disappointed by the relative lack of action, but this issue is as funny as any that's come before and sees no reason why that should preclude it from shattering your illusions and showing you your heroes at their lowest. With nuanced and beautiful art from everyone involved and all the wit, intelligence, and heart you've come to expect from this book, Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye #50 is a worthy tribute to the one of the best monthlies in comics. The IDW Transformers line is the best series of adventure/sci fi/superhero comics currently being produced.
A near perfect issue that sends you into panic mode just mere four panels in. Roberts masterfully uses all the plot threads he has seeded over 49 issues to strangle your heart, and will continue to do so for the rest of this arc.
Now is the perfect time to jump on board and partake in the exciting, funny and tragic adventures on the Lost Light. This is one of the best runs on the shelves right now, so stop missing out! Rodimus's crew is in another sticky situation and things aren't likely to be the same moving forward. The backup story was good too, a thoughtful way to recap some of the history that's happened on the Lost Light thus far. It was enlightening to read the letters page as well, I had no idea how meaningful this series was to readers in the LGBTQ+ community, though I shouldn't be surprised. Take a mechanical alien race, where gender isn't really a thing, and it introduces so many interesting ways to reflect on our own society's norms.
