    AIPT - David Brooke Jun 22, 2016

The brutal nature of staying alive in an older time is vividly realized in this issue. A fine backstory is revealed too which shouldn't be missed. Like the characters this comic will have you gripped with fear, brutal cold, and wishing for justice. Read Full Review

    CourtOfNerds - Drew S. McCarthy Jun 23, 2016

This story is building and it's epic. Black Road is already on my pull list and now I just want more. Why is Bishop Oakenfold someone worth this road to see? What is Julia's quest? Outright Geekery - Eli Funaro Jun 24, 2016

All in all, Black Road # 3 is another strong entry in this violent Viking saga. It is an improvement from the exposition heavy last issue and just throws the reader into a thrilling fast paced action scene. The writing and art are a meshed perfectly together and balance the themes of man vs nature. Magnus and Julia are just as hungry like the wolves and are willing to be just as vicious as the beasts. And with new details on the Rogue Bishop in the North, the dangers don't seem to let up on their journey. There is sure to be blood at the end of this Black Road. Read Full Review

We The Nerdy - Chad Waller Jun 22, 2016

I wish Black Road would captivate me more, would make me adore it like so many other Image comics I read, but it has yet to do that. I will, however, keep chugging along with it. The quality is perhaps too high to miss out on. Read Full Review
