Ghosted #1 is definitely a read that I can recommend. It is, however, by no means intended for children as it contains strong language, sex and a rape scene. There is enough packed into the story to even make an adult cringe. Ghosted has received critical acclaim thus far and looks like a solid release by Image comics. Even when Williamson employs the tired old method of showing Jackson going around to recruit a team of supernatural experts to help him with the job, it works wonderfully because of Jackson's no-BS attitude. “Ghosted” is successful because of its bones; in fact, this series is a study of skeletons. The skeleton of the story, or its structure, is sound and sturdy. Skeletons also come into play as reminders of things that go bump in the night. The humor found in this first issue is bone-dry. Without a doubt this complex cast is sure to have their share of skeletons in the closet, and more than one bone to pick with one another. Goran Sudzuka's art keeps up with Williamson's brisk pace extremely well. He does a good job of keeping the art light and somewhat campy while showing some very intense imagery. The pencils are sharp and suit the tone of this comic very well. Sudzuka shows some serious chops throughout this first issue, defining a tone that I hope stays with this series. It is Sudzuka's artwork in this issue that really makes Williamson's energetic characters leap off of the page and these two creators really seem to gel even at this early point in this series.Ghosted #1 follows in the line of extremely strong #1s from Image over the past year or so. This series has some serious potential and features strong writing and some solid artwork. Overall, this is a well-done comic-book.  The art and story taken together were interesting and worth a read.  I'm not sure how much longevity this series will have, but they definitely have my curiosity pricked, and I will be along for at least the first story arc. Read Full Review

This is a great debut, folks. It sets the bar high for Williamson and his crew and it's going to be interesting to see how they follow up. Number one issues generally have a bit of give with readers, and it seems that issues two and three tend to hold more weight on whether or not people keep the book or not. If number one is any indication, and if you know Williamson it's a safe bet that it is, this is going to be another break out series from Image Comics. Pick it up. Read Full Review

Not sure where the creative team is going to take the series at this point, but Ghosted #1 leans more towards a psychological, supernatural-crime series than it does the horror genre, though some elements are still present. GHOSTED #1 is a promising start to a different, but very cool new series. I really like the Ocean's Eleven meets every dumb ghost hunting show (minus the laughs) feel to this book. It's fun and extremely fresh. Image (Skybound) has been great at putting together great new series that are well worth your time and money, and while this book isn't perfect, it's an amazing start. I don't think the cover does the book justice and I had a problem with why Jackson was chosen for this job. Aside from that, the art and the writing are awesome, and you really should pick this one up. Read Full Review

Ghosted #1 is a pretty good first installment for a new comic book series. I'm not sure about the characters that they've introduced yet, but the plot definitely has me interested. The creative team behind Ghosted is Joshua Williamson (writer), Goran Sudzuka (artist), Miroslav Mrva on colors and Rus Wooton handling the lettering. I really like Sudzuka's art style, and Mrva's colors mesh well with it. His style is what I would describe as having a rough, pencil feel to it with tight lines and a liberal use of blacks and shadows in the panels. The two page splash of the Trask Mansion (the large house seen on the cover) is a nice example of how well their styles work in this book and the mansion and it's gnarly tree-dotted landscape looks like it would be right at home in an issue of Hellboy.Ghosted #1 puts a fun twist on a story we have seen before. The reveal on the last page pushes the reader to ask even more questions about these characters and their motivations. The creative team has built the groundwork for a story I am looking forward to following and I recommend picking it up and giving it a try. Read Full Review

After assembling his squad through a series of standard-issue introductions, Winters sets out to grab a ghost from the Trask mansion, an allegedly haunted house that is staged to play a much larger role going forward. Williamson and Sudzuka have crafted a world in "Ghosted" #1 that we're just starting to see the top of. As this story moves forward, I'm anticipating more surprises, especially since this entire issue essentially transformed into an entertaining surprise literally before my eyes as I read through it. Image has found solid work again and "Ghosted" #1 is sure to find favor in fans of titles like "Revival" and "Fatale." Read Full Review

Goran Sudzuka’s art is run-of-the-mill comic book art. His panels tell the story, but that’s about it. Nothing Sudzuka pencils is bad, it’s just not anything eye popping. This is work-horse art, the kind of drawings that turn the words into images, but never transcend the nuts-and-bolts of that. Facially, Sudzuka draws a bit too consistently.
