Blue Raven Comics - Garry Robertson Sep 14, 2012

In the woods, we see Durand taking a drink from a stream. Feeling something thudding into him, he turns around and sees multiple darts in his back, promptly passing out. Clive has found his target. Standing over Durand's limp body, he says he will make a great centerpiece for his final ceremony. What does this mean and how will it turn out? Fingers crossed the Hoax Hunters will arrive in time! The clever story continues in this issue and, at the end of every issue, there is a genuine cliffhanger that just leaves you wanting more. I'm giving this issue a great 9/10 and… roll on the next issue! Read Full Review

The art is the issue is pretty good, too. Axel Medellin really excels when it comes to monsters and death and destruction. Unfortunately, he doesn't get to draw nearly enough of that in this issue. He handles most of the character work fairly well, although things slip a bit during the extended flashback. It becomes a little tedious; almost boring. Things pick up again by the end and we get more monsters, mayhem, and that dude that is really a murder of crows wearing spacesuit. That's the kind of stuff that makes this book worth the cover price each and every month. Read Full Review

Typing that last paragraph makes it seem a lot weirder than it is, or perhaps it is so entertaining that I did not notice just how very odd the whole thing is. If you are a fan of the X-Files or are looking for something new and different than give this one a try. Read Full Review
