"Decompression In A Wreck," Part One. In this first part of a two-parter (which does not require reading of either part), we see how slow time can go when your bumper is making its way toward your trunk.
While a stand-alone story, it is going to be a long month to wait until the next issue which tells the story of the semi-truck involved in the accident shown in this issue. Read Full Review
Ice Cream Man #39 is a painful read and an exceedingly well executed one bound to haunt readers long after they finish taking their time to read this issue. Read Full Review
Stuff like this is why I call Price a reality horror writer. The emotions you go through when you read an issue like this is varied but also always unsettling. Not because of some cosmic horror (which I also love), or a jump scare or the atmosphere. It is just these hit too close to home. They are too relatable. Even if they havent happen to you (I dont know how you are reading this review if you died in a car crash), they are things you understand. A boys dreams of the future, the parents memories of a wonderful past, these things, you get how they mean the world to people but as soon as they are there, they are gone. Lost in the cessation of their lives. All in 5 second and 28 pages.
Speaking of 28 pages, I wont babble for long more
A really good issue of ICM. These are the ones that haunt you a little even after the story ends.
