What a great story! I missed the first issue but that was quickly remedied after reviewing this one. Dastmalchian has a masters touch to writing a well balanced and nuanced script. The characters shine while the machinations that drive their actions hides out in the open. The artwork is beautiful in its brutality. Action packed battles highlight cool weapons, movements, and intense standoffs. I'm diving into the rest of this series and you should too! Read Full Review

Dastmalchian also adds another welcome angle to the story with the reveal of a secret agenda that mandated the need to pit these two armies in conflict with one another. This is proving to be a fun title and one worth following as it continues to play out. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Nov 1, 2024

Theres a little question about any given reader, would be able to choose a side here. The creative team does a pretty good job of illustrating, strengths and weaknesses on both sides in an issue that feels largely consumed by the chaos on the battlefield. Part of the enjoyment of it is just knowing the full story the way none of the characters on the page could. Readers can see the conflict developing be on the mists of ancient time in an area where the air filter had ever been fully exposed to the other. Its enjoyable to see a conflict like this with the benefit of hundreds of years of history. Read Full Review
