Despite the dryly delivered backstory, this certainly feels like the best form of Spawn to be found on shelves today. Read Full Review

Bleeding Cool - Joshua Davison May 12, 2018

Medieval Spawn and Witchblade #1 is a slow and fairly standard fantasy story saved by the gorgeous artwork of Haberlin and Van Dyke. I cant recommend it to anyone not especially attached to Spawn, Witchblade, the fantasy genre, or especially good comic book art. However, those who do partake in the book will be dazzled by the artwork within. Read Full Review

Multiversity Comics - Rowan Grover May 11, 2018

A missed opportunity, "Medieval Spawn/Witchblade" #1 features dull plotting, poor character work, and uncomfortably CGI-looking artwork, all without even featuring one half of the crossover characters. Read Full Review

I really enjoyed this first issue. I don't agree with the negative reviews it's been given. I'm a big Spawn fan, but I don't know anything about Witchblade. However, the issue was easy enough for me to follow. It has everything needed in a first issue: background info, set up and action. I'm looking forward to the next issue to see where it goes from here. The artwork was great too! If you like medieval stories with a mystical flair check this out!

It is cool to see a crossover like this in 2018, but it just feels a bit dull so far. Hopefully the next issue will change my mind.
