SCALES AND SCOUNDRELS #10 explores themes of ostracism, trauma, and rebellion. The addition of new antagonists in the form of the council adds yet another interesting wrinkle to the series' world. Long-time readers will find this issue incredibly satisfying with a really good payoff in the end. Read Full Review

As per usual, Scales and Scoundrels deliveranother quality story (another one) with the deliberate pacing of a decathlete. Scales #10 gets the job done, and elevates all parts of the craft while doing it. Scales and Scoundrels is a very satisfying read, I wholeheartedly suggest it! Read Full Review

If you're only going to read part of this issue, then please make sure it is the part that reveals Luv's backstory. Not only is it beautifully told but the artwork for this scene was particularly striking. The color palette alone was stunning. Luv is beautiful deep red while her gold hoard is a brilliant yellow, setting up the perfect contrast right from the get go. From there the colors shift to complement the tale being told in perfect harmony. Read Full Review
