    Comicsverse - Bri D'Anton Aug 25, 2015

THE WALKING DEAD has slowed down this week, and it is just the medicine we all needed. The emotional storytelling is humanizing, and exactly what we needed after the violence and plot twists of the previous issues. Read Full Review

    IGN - Jesse Schedeen Aug 13, 2015

This might not be the most exciting or fast-paced chapter of The Walking Dead, but that's not what the series needs at the moment. This issue successfully explores the emotional fallout of last month's tragedy while continuing to play up Alpha and the Whisperers as not just a great band name, but a real, compelling threat to our heroes. Good Kind Of Geek - Nikki Yuan Aug 13, 2015

This issue might not be as exciting as last issue, but it serves as a great epilogue of the event, and also a great prologue for everything to come. Walking Dead will never be the same after this. Read Full Review

    ComicList - Brandon Borzelli Aug 15, 2015

"The Walking Dead" provides a dramatic issue as the core characters deal with the fallout of their loved ones being murdered by a neighboring community. They try to deal with their grief while determining their next steps. The artwork provides a stunning visual story in this issue as the tension builds throughout the comic. This is one of the better issues in the series in a while. This is what is best about this comic book. Read Full Review

    Graphic Policy - Brett Aug 13, 2015

For long time readers, we're seeing the real beginning of the next big event to shake up The Walking Dead world. While the teaser text says “blood for blood,” this issue is more tears for blood…. so far. Read Full Review

Fortress of Solitude - Byron Hendricks Aug 24, 2015

This is a great issue and it gives the reader a sense of what is going on the mind of our protagonists. Remember they are ordinary people, not super heroes. Rick and the gang are faced with realities such as fear, death, loneliness and survival. There is no happy ending as they have experienced immense losses; the type of losses that would drive a weaker character insane. This issue sets up for the road ahead and it does make the reader wonder as to whether our protagonists will survive or not. Read Full Review

Fox Force Five News - Keven Skinner Aug 14, 2015

Most of this chapter is grief and rage which I have no doubt will continue forward into issue 146 as Rick takes news back to Alexandria of how even more people just lost their friends and family to a group of skin wearing psychopaths. Eugene and Rosita were trying to build a family together — that dude is going to be crushed… I'm assuming Rick will propose that his camp will have to sit on this awful news because he's well aware that if he retaliates now — that huge ass herd of walkers will stomp that ass. Hard. Alpha and the whisperers are by far the biggest threat that Rick has ever faced because up until now — walkers were an uncontrollable element amidst the battle between human survivors. But now — they're a weapon that can be pointed any which way Alpha chooses. Read Full Review
