Good Kind Of Geek - Nikki Yuan Dec 13, 2015

Other than the conversation between Rick and Negan, this really is a slow issue. A lot of elements feel like familiar beats and the story hardly has any progression at all. But hey, if it's all for building up the big event in the next issue, I'm all for it. Read Full Review

The Walking Dead #149 does a wonderful job of setting up next month's 150th Anniversary issue, whilst at the same time keeping a lot of things hidden. It also gives us a gripping altercation between Rick and Negan with the villain as ever bringing a dramatic flair to proceedings. Read Full Review

I'm going to try and focus on what worked in this issue, because I'm curious to see where it will go. Negan isn't a free man yet, but he's still in an influential position. Is he right this time, or is this just another act by the devil? Read Full Review

"The Walking Dead" finally brings Negan to the center of attention in this issue. Rick seeks some advice from everyone's favorite inmate and the pair doesn't disappoint with some heated and tense dialogue. The rest of the issue has some tame subplots and some odd decision making from the characters to bring the read down to Earth. Overall, the comic is a solid, but average read. It will be interesting to see what the anniversary issue has in store for the readers next month. Read Full Review

    IGN - Jesse Schedeen Dec 10, 2015

The Walking Dead has hit a bit of a lull right before the big issue #150 milestone. The series is starting to dwell too long on the emotional fallout of the Whisperers' attack rather than actively moving into the next phase of the conflict. Still, the Rick/Negan scene sin this issue are a great deal of fun to read, and they could offer a taste of things to come. Read Full Review

Although this month's issue is a bit disorganized, it's building up to something massive. We get a lot of great Neganisms, and Negan helps Rick form a plan. In the issues to come, we'll see just how good that plan is. Will Rick be able to gain his people's trust back? We'll find out soon. Read Full Review
