For a twenty-five cent issue, Kirkman does not disappoint, not that we expected him to. This is a great start to the post-war arc. The chance for all of the characters to survive seems slim to none. I hope Kirkman continues on with the pacing and intensity he's set up thus far as the characters fight for survival in the issues to come. We get another issue this month, and I can't wait! "The Whisperer War" didn't reach the memorable conclusion it deserved, but at least the series is on the upswing again in issue #163. And with the price of entry being so low, there's really no reason not to give this comic a try. Read Full Review
Where's the comic series going now? The series comes a long way with survivors on the road trying to find a safe haven, and after the status quo changing “All Out War,” the series is all about how to build a society in a world like this. Then again, both The Kingdom and Hilltop are still around, and the Saviors are coming in as the big boss, maybe the series is still heading towards a fresh direction. We will have to wait and find out. Read Full Review
The start of another great arc. Best character development, storytelling and continuity out of any comic out there. This excellent issue was only 25ยข.
Great Issue! Best .25 cent comic I've ever read!!! New arc is sure to be sick!!
I've said it before and I expect I'll say it again. This is a well plotted and consistently good comic. It ought to show the comics industry that constantly re-starting at issue 1 is unnecessary.
