Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez

    Mar 10, 2026

Transformers #30 delivers a powerful clash that decides the future direction of the Autobots in the Energon Universe. Optimus Prime and Elita-1 prove why they are key deciding figures during and after the clash they have. The actions taken by not just these two but also the rest of the Autobots build even greater investment in what the future will be for the franchise moving forward. Read Full Review

    Comic Watch - Anthony Bergamini

Transformers #30 is the best issue from this new creative team thus far, thrusting these characters into a new status quo that is unlike anything Transformers fans have seen before. Read Full Review

Dan Mora delivers a killer final chapter for his time on the book, and his contributions to the series will definitely be missed. Transformers continues to be a MUST-READ series. Read Full Review

    Fanlight Zone - Richard Coryell

    Mar 11, 2026

Transformers #30 brings the power struggle to a conclusive end, well also setting the tone for what’s to come next in the series and the Energon Universe as a whole. The action, although great, pales in comparison to the drama and the fallout that we will witness in issues to come. This is one of the most important issues of Transformers in this series run. This book is my Pick of the Week and should be on everyone’s list of books to grab at the LCS this week. Read Full Review

    Comical Opinions - Gabriel Hernandez

    Mar 11, 2026

Transformers #30 is a high stakes pivot that justifies the cost of admission through pure character growth. It effectively ends one era and begins another, making it an essential purchase for anyone following the Energon Universe. While the loss of Dan Mora is a blow, the story remains in capable hands. You get plenty of narrative value for your investment here. Read Full Review

The Comic Book Spot - Adam Koppel

    Mar 14, 2026

Transformers #30 wraps up the story arc with a shocking twist from Robert Kirkman that continues to push the series in a new direction while honoring both classic Transformers concepts as well as the expansive groundwork laid by Daniel Warren Johnson. The story art and color evoke a mix of the classic and modern. Read Full Review

Comic Book Clique - Sawyer Peek

    Mar 17, 2026

Transformers #30 is a major swing that reshapes the status quo in a meaningful way. It leaves behind a battlefield and replaces it with something far more uncertain. And for the first time in this run, the biggest question is not how the disgraced Autobots will win, but who they are without Optimus Prime leading them, and whether they can still call themselves Autobots at all. You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

    Mar 11, 2026

The saga of the Transformers has a chance to move in a few different directions in response to the way that Kirkman is moving things as the series continues into the second half of its third year. The Energon Universe clearly has some momentum as it moves forward with its central titles. With any luck, it’s going to be able to keep moving with that momentum. Kirkman is taking some real chances with the series. If he can pull it off, he might just have something special here. Read Full Review

Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles

    Mar 11, 2026

Transformers 30 certainly sets a new status quo for the series, but minus one major aesthetic change for Optimus, the series still feels like it’s in good hands despite this issue’s hiccup. Read Full Review
