Dan, Ram, and Matthew have taken readers to the bottomless pits of the water in Universal Monsters Creature from the Black Lagoon Lives! Issue #4. If there had been just a bit more going on in the visual execution of the comic book, it could have been spectacular. It was an ok I ending. Kind of run of the mill. Wish it was built up over more issues.
This is an average story at best. This was a complete missed opportunity. There was so much Ram V and Watters could have gone into the lore, create mystery, and more. Instead, we get a fight with a serial killer who grafts parts of a creature to himself. Where was this dead creature? Why did it not decompose? How did he sew a fin onto the back of his head? Don't know. The cartel was there just to get killed. It was all just silly. I hope other writers can do better with this IP as it deserved better than these guys.
