Final Thought: Youngblood is a true representation of the comic book action genre having evolved with a tone of maturity and style. Much as it did upon inception in 1992, Youngblood celebrates independent survival outside of the big two publishers especially for those whose enthusiasm has diminished by their ritual habit of over promising and under delivering by regaining significance as symbol of innovation and excitement. The art by Jim Towe in this issue is really well done and captures a lot of the seriousness of the story but also the fun moments. I really felt like I was reading the old series that was done by Rob Liefeld. The colors are very spot on and the letters aren't really a problem. The only issue I had with the art is that there really wasn't a lot of detail in the background of some of the panels. Other than that I have no complaints about the art at all. Read Full Review

Youngblood issue 5 was another solid issue, that has been a real solid story by Chad Bowers, Rob Liefeld, and the very excellent artist Jim Towe, which Bowers and Towe are also doing and amazing job on Dynamite's Ash vs AOD. If you are a true Youngblood fan you pry are reading this as I am, and if you want to read a really cool super hero story other than the big "2" I suggest picking it up. You won't be disappointed! 8.5 out of 10...
