Nerd Initiative - Megan Nichole Sep 11, 2024

I was instantly hooked when I started reading Dark Empty Void #1. The story is compelling right from the start, and keeps you wanting more as the story continues. You find yourself relating to Joy as she gives lectures on depression while she is going through the struggle herself. The characters are easy to connect with while still maintaining mystery as you learn more about them. I'm not usually one for sci-fi thrillers, but Dark Empty Void #1 was fantastic all around. Can't wait for the next installment! Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Canham Aug 8, 2024

'Dark Empty Void' #1 sucked me in with the power of the black hole the story revolves around. The intriguing sci-fi concept immediately piqued my interest. But, I was mostly drawn in by the diverse and complex characters. The intricate and emotive images by Chris Shehan together with the colors of Francesco Segala perfectly match the mood of both the narrative and the characters. And I was completely hooked by the well-paced mystery at the center of the sci-fi thriller. Read Full Review

Dark Empty Void #1 tries to be the next great sci-fi story that is also engaging on a personal level. It unfortunately doesn't quite hit the mark on either side. That's okay though, because the visuals pick up the slack easily and carry this issue. Read Full Review
