Overall, Bloodline: Daughter Of Blade #2 is a great secondissue which shows not everyone has good intentions. The story by Danny Lore is exhilarating. The art by Karen S. Darboe, Cris Peter, and Joe Sabino is stunning. Altogether, it's an issue and a story that will make fans re-watch the original Blade trilogy. Read Full Review

Brielle is a character I really wish I could have had around in books when I was in high school. It brightens my day to see that a younger generation gets to connect to a fun character like Brielle while they also face struggles in high school. Im excited to see the potential that can grow between her and Blade in the future! Im also interested to see what an interaction between her parents will be like. Read Full Review

Bloodline: Daughter of Blade #2 is a mild improvement over issue #1. The pacing and dialog are significantly better, and the story is moving, but the plot is amateurish and completely lacking in character motivations or setup. Read Full Review

The art is lively and it has a strong sense of style, but the sketchy lack of detail is a problem, particularly in the action scenes. The script's pace is herky-jerky, like the last issue, and the dialogue still features the occasional stilted line. But the overall quality is improving as the plot finally kicks into gear. One feature I admire is that the conflicts are driven by character interaction. The author has a talent for developing plot and character at the same time. It also helps that (so far) everyone has rational motivations for the choices they make.
