What happens when you mix a jolly Asgardian with the Sentinel of Liberty? A fun adventure with some deceptive heart behind it. JMS constructs an orthodox tale with many moving parts. Chang, Maiolo and Caramagna weave in drama along with strong action. This is one for readers to get a true vision of the wide MCU landscape. Read Full Review

Overall, the issue succeeds in reinventing a typically comedic character into a surprisingly heroic figure through strong storytelling and vibrant artwork, though its skewed focus may leave traditional Captain America fans wanting more. Read Full Review

    Beautiful, comic nirvana.

I was coming in not knowing what to expect but after the first couple of pages I fell in love with this humble one-shot. Seeing JMS as the writer definitely got my attention. Nonetheless the art was great and the dialogue was perfect, bringing depth to Volstagg like this is extremely creative. Going to check out the previous issue of Doom and Rocket now because I liked this so much and will read next ish, I mean Nick Fury and Fin Fang Foom?!! Now this is comic book heaven for me!!!
