100% agreed. I'll go sofar as to say that this is my favorite Cap run since Waid/Garney. I'm gonna to be sacrilegious and say: I enjoy Spencer's run more than Brubaker's.
Madame Hydra! She's been pulling the strings on Captain America's life since before he even existed!

A solid build up towards "Secret Empire" via Hydra's strengthening with a new sort of power. Read Full Review
The march to Secret Empire is getting more overt in Captain America: Steve Rogers. And regardless of anyone's feelings about Hydra Cap, this is a very good issue with incredible art by Jesus Saiz. Read Full Review
This isn't the most exciting looking book that we've seen, especially from Saiz, but he gets the job done. His standout moment is the final page reveal and that promises to make the next issue much more of an event. Read Full Review
Captain America #14 had a distinct lack of Captain America and focused more on the creation of the Hydra counsel, after of course tracking down the remaining bad guys from Pleasant Hill. My complaints from the last issue seem to have been heard by the Marvel Overlords, and there has been plot progression, beyond Cap's moral crisis. However, I did feel like the two “plot surprises” were predictable. Read Full Review
With the focus firmly on Secret Empire, Captain America: Steve Rogers #14 suffers from being there only to kill time until the major event begins. Read Full Review
Great set up issue. Saiz is awesome. I just have so many questions about Elisa Sinclair.
Another good one! Critics continue to LOW BALL this series. Too Bad. Nick Spencer is building a classic. I'm loving the slow burn build up to Secret Empire
Madam Hydra/Elisa Sinclair assembles her own Hydra faction. Is she gonna lay it at Steve's feet or …? Both artistically and narratively, this is a much more stylish presentation than the grab-bag of baddies Zemo rounded up in the last issue. The curse of Marvel Unlimited is that I'm already aware that Secret Empire is going to turn into a big dumb hero-vs-hero fight; the looming Hydra Civil War presented here is much more interesting to me.
Each issue of this book threatens redundancy by only being a lead up to "Secret Empire," but this issue was intriguing nonetheless, as Hydra's forces consolidate. An interesting ending has me looking forward to the next issue.
