Plot Cyclops is rescued by the young mutant Mei, who managed to escape the Reavers. She recognizes Cyclops and sets out to free her friends, not caring much whether Cyclops helps her or not. Mei's power is superhuman strength, but it disappears if her cortisol levels rise due to stress or fear. Cyclops has learned to walk without his sight. As the great strategist he is, he has trained for this possible scenario where he doesn't have his ruby quartz visor and can't control his power if he opens his eyes. Mei's mutant powers. One of the Reavers corners Mei. With Cyclops's help, even without his powers, they manage to defeat the Reaver and escape. Donald Pierce's order is that any failure will be punished with death and deactivation. more

I ask one big question with this series - Why does this need to exist? We dive back into a series full of just eye rolling garbage. The overall premise isn't bad. In fact I like it. How it's being executed however by Alex Paknadel is the issue. The Reavers are hunting Mei who escaped from their mining facility. Cyclops was shot down while traveling and is hurt and without his visor. They linked up and here we are... stuck with just stuff crammed together. Mei has super strength but cannot work when shes afraid... due to cortisol levels... but cortisol is managed by stress. so none of this makes sense. she was able to work while a captive and wasn't afraid or stressed ? How about Cyclops says he trained for being in the woods blindfolde more
