Misty, meet the Devil!
You know Daredevil as the Man Without Fear, the protector of Hell's Kitchen. But once upon a time, Daredevil was just the newest super-suit on the block - and NYPD Detective Mercedes "Misty" Knight was just a cop on the job. So when she places Daredevil at the scene of a crime, sparks will fly - and not the good kind. Award-winning crime writer Erica Schultz teams with fan-favorite artist Marcio Takara to bring you a story of street-level heroism in the early days of the Marvel Universe!

A solidly fun story, great art, and a rare perfect execution to both make this a great one-shot annual that everyone should check out at some point. If you like Daredevil's runs on Netflix, this is a great book to start on Hornhead's comic adventures, but it's also a fantastic introduction to Misty Knight as well. Fans of both characters have something to enjoy here. Read Full Review
The story closely follows Misty Knight but Daredevil just pops up as a plot device throughout the story to move it along. It's fun when a title hero's book can be used to tell a story with the focus on a different character. This is actually the kind of classic move that can get readers interested in different characters. With the short livedFalcon run over and the glow of a potential Daughters of the Dragon focus in the next season of Iron Fist, I can smell the opportunity for a lot more Misty in upcoming comics. Overall, Soule's run has been stellar. So, save the money this week but add DAREDEVIL to your pull list going forward. If you need proof, take a look at my last couple reviews of DAREDEVIL. Soule and Phil Noto are doing amazing things with the character right now. Read Full Review
"Daredevil Annual" #1 is a fun interlude for Daredevils followers and a must-read for fans of Misty Knight. Read Full Review
This is a fine little story for an annual issue. It's nothing groundbreaking or particularly stand-out, but for what it is it's fun and better than most. Read Full Review
Daredevil Annual #1 isnt anything special, but its nice to see Matt Murdock and Misty Knight teaming up again. The story is fine, the dialogue is solid, and the artwork is good. Its not what I would call a must-buyespecially at the $4.99 price tagbut its worth a soft recommendation. If youre a DD or Misty Knight, feel free to check it out. Read Full Review
It's a pretty average self-contained story. If you've got five bucks burning a hole in your pocket for a Daredevil comic you could do worse than this, but you could also probably do better. Read Full Review
All in all, this is a fun but probably not necessary superhero one-shot. Read Full Review
An interesting character study for Misty that tries a little TOO hard to show us her status as hard-bitten veteran cop, with some wobbly art. Read Full Review
