Daredevil: Gang War #2 is one of the best Gang War tie-ins due to the strength of its lead character. Read Full Review

Daredevil: Gang War #2 is not as strong as the first issue from a character standpoint, but it's titillating action and robust combination of 90's flair with a modern approach to pacing keeps the book moving and a continually engaging pace. This book continues to stand out as the shining gem of Gang War, and while it begins to tie more heavily into the event in this issue, it does so in a way that keeps the story at hand still a solid enough solo story for Elektra. Unfortunately, there is not much substance to this issue. A guy loses his arm & is able to walk away from it without bleeding to death??

After a really solid first issue, we slow way down by speeding up. This issue flies by, and it feels like very little happens. We learn a bit more about our mystery assassin, but the lack of substance is disappointing.

I wasn't as into this as the first issue, but it wasn't bad or anything. I don't really have much to say about this one. I'm starting to lose some interest in Gang War, which is a shame. I really liked the idea of it going in and even the First Strike one-shot was pretty good.

Erica Schultz’s story may be a low-stakes affair in the grand scheme of Gang War and beyond, but that doesn’t take away from how much I’ve been impressed by her ability to write a well-paced and balanced book. Elektra really gets a chance to show off her non-lethal assassin skills and its all captured beautifully by Segio Dávila’s art. Dávila appears to be growing by leaps and bounds since his work on Captain Marvel. Elektra's battle looks wonderful, though the continued tease of the her main antagonist is a bit of letdown since there are strong indications as to who this person is. It also continues to feel like the stepchild of all the Gang War tie-ins given its loosest of threads to the other ongoing conflicts. Other than those more
