Lived up to the hype, one of the best issues in all of comics

Reed is put on trial by Shi'ar Majestrix Lilandra for saving the life of Galactus, which later lead to the destruction of the Skrull Throneworld. The Watcher leads the defense of Reed by arguing that Galactus is an essential force of the universe that must be preserved. (Cover date: January, 1984)

This has a great deal of dialogue, but the overall issues is very interesting and original. We start with John Byrne himself getting whisked into the story about Reed on trial for saving Galactus.
