The Fantastic Four and Doctor Doom cross paths when Doom travels back in time to stop Richards from destroying the world. Could it be that Reed is a danger to all that he has sworn to protect? Is he capable of such villainy?
It's difficult not to view McDuffie's last arc as a placeholder before Millar and Hitch, but don't discount it without giving it a try. McDuffie and artist Paul Pelletier are capable of some good, solid FF stories, and I think this arc will prove to be their crowning achievement on the book. Read Full Review
In the final analysis, this is the best Fantastic Four creative team I have seen since Waid and Weiringo, and I really hope that there is some reprieve for McDuffie and Pelletier at the zero hour. I almost want to give this a Must Read, but McDuffie's run has been all over the place and I'm hesitant to suggest people jump in based on this single issue. He could easily come back next month with another dud or it could be a masterpiece. His run has really been that erratic. If you're interested in the Fantastic Four or future stories with evil versions of our heroes, this is a solid first issue that you'll probably want to check out. Read Full Review
