This book is really the tale of two halves, and while the second half drags things down, it's hard not to still recommend the first half. Read Full Review
It can be hard to introduce a new character, but it seems at the very least like the basics are here. White Fox might not be headlining the next Marvel movie, but there is enough foundation here to maybe build something bigger on. Read Full Review
Writer Alyssa Wong's script is brisk and delivers a classic superhero origin story, but told from an Asian perspective that we don't get much of in the American comic book industry. Read Full Review
A good first issue in the "Future Fights" origin story comics. I had no idea what the Future Fights game was, but had a good time getting an introduction to some interesting characters. Read Full Review
We haven't seen many Asian superheroes and saw this as a chance to really do something new. Unfortunately, this story was cookie cutter and gave us a story we have all seen before. Read Full Review
Wong writes a great, if basic, origin for White Fox and Libranda’s art pleasantly surprised me. Marvel’s plan to put more spotlight on it’s Asian heroes has been massively unsuccessful so far (Aero and Sword Master suck), White Fox 1 is a step in the right direction
I agree with the consensus: The White Fox strip was acceptable verging on good; the Future Avengers were too forgettable. (The title page intro does a better job telling the team's story than the strip does, ouch.) White Fox remains my favorite alternative to the new Agents of Atlas characters.
White Fox's origin is pretty standard, but nothing bad. It was competent. The second story just wasn't worth reading though. It was just fluff to pad out the issue.
