I wish they spent more time on the downfall The Hood took in this issue. While I still enjoyed it, it could have had a bigger impact. I do think this book isn't great, but there is something about it that I enjoy.

The best issue since the first one, I my opinion. Parker was a bit more interesting for me this time around, especially with his "I'd kill for you" line. Johnny and Zeb's stuff was solid, but there also wasn't a whole lot of it. With the next issue being the end of the series, I hope things get wrapped up nicely.

Johnny and Parker finally reach their long-overdue confrontation. I was really hoping that Parker's comeuppance would deliver some dramatic irony, and I appreciate that the author tried for it. But I just wasn't feeling it.
There's nothing terribly wrong with the writing or the art. But there's not enough right to keep me from focusing on the finicky little nitpicks, which makes the overall reading experience disappointing.
Case in point: Johnny and Zeb wear sunglasses, not just at night, but *in a sewer*. That's not deal-breaking stupid. But it's the sort of stupid that wants to be a part of an audacious, over-the-top story, and I don't think this fits the bill at all.
