This is a great comic for new Guardians of the Galaxy fans, as it's a one-shot; you don't need to have read much of the series to know what's going on or how the team operates. It's a fun way to see the Guardians on just another status quo adventure. And with the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the hype is all around this hilarious group of heroes.
