It's unclear how exactly this issue is part of "The Road to Civil War II", but regardless, it's a pretty good jumping-on point. Invincible Iron Man #9 is a series of vignettes of most of this book's major characters reacting to Tony Stark's disappearance. It reminds you that Brian Bendis has a lot of different, and interesting, balls in the air in this series. Read Full Review
There is just a little too much going on in this story. The introduction to Riri Williams is probably the best part of this story as there is very little Tony Stark and this doesn't really feel like it could have any impact on the upcoming Civil War II. The art really doesn't suit the issue this time around either.
