It seems like almost every Invincible Iron Man script succeeds in blowing me away these days, and this is no different. "Dark Reign" has given Fraction's brain a ton of viable story options and for readers of this book, from the looks of things it's going to be quite a fun ride for the next year or so. It's clear that things are only going to get worse for Tony and his friends, as they're alone against increasingly insurmountable odds. At the start of their run, Fraction and Larocca did a great job at showing just how "Invincible" their Iron Man could be. Now, post "Secret Invasion", it looks like things are going to get a heck of a lot more vincible. Read Full Review
Aside from that minor niggle, this is a highly compelling Iron Man story that goes a long way to redeem the character after the last few years, and is also firmly rooted in the new "Dark Reign" status quo. We spend the majority of the issue on people who are all futzed that Tony Stark is missing and presumed dead, driving the point home on pretty much every page. We know he's not dead, and sure enough, he shows up on the last page to reveal what's really going on. That's fine, that could make for an interesting story.
