The first arc of Kelly Thompson and Mattia De Iulis'Jessica Jonesrun has been a master class in three act storytelling with issue one introducing Jessica's case, premise, and putting in her dire straits,Jessica Jones #2doling out information about the serial killer revel and putting her even more dire straits, and who knows what issue three will bring. As well as being a compelling mystery, Jessica Jones#2 explores its title character's guilt, acumen for detective work, and continued fight against toxic masculinity that happens to involve superpowers. It also has enjoyable scenes of humor and action, especially when Elsa Bloodstone is involved. Read Full Review

Jessica navigates an extremely twisty case with some help from Elsa Bloodstone and Mary Jane Watson. As she says at the beginning, she's got the who and the how and the when, and the subsequent comic shows them to us. All that's left is the why - and, of course, who makes it out alive. The art is very good, but the script is all-time great. Brilliant characterization and compelling plotting. Every development is both fascinating and perfectly-timed. This series as a whole looks to be a masterclass in "how to take over a beloved character and exceed all storytelling expectations with them."
Kelly Thompson was the perfect choice to continue Jessica Jones after Bendis. She gets it and is really digging into the story. This issue skips around more and that can be jarring for the reader but at the core is a really great story with interesting characters and twists. Iulis gives NY a great vibe and the setting just feels alive. Jones is perfectly captured as a character. Elsa Bloodstone is a great character in Thompson's hands and my hope is that we can see more of her.
Looking forward to the next 2 chapters in the 3rd issue.
so great to see Jessica Jones with real artwork.
I hate the time-skipping, I don't think it is helping the story at all. just making it confusing and annoying.
but the story itself is good. I like the plot twist at the end and am anxious to see the resolution.
